Simile

Simile is a figure of speech in which a comparison is made between two things to emphasize the description. Usually ‘like’ and ‘as’ are used for this purpose.

He is as poor as a church mouse.
She is as busy as a bee.
Tom is as brave as a lion.
She performed like a professional artiste.
He slept like a log.
They treated him like an alien.
