Incorrect omission of prepositions

Omission of the word or between numbers.

Rule: The conjunction or should be used between numbers.

         Incorrect Usage: All of a sudden, five, six men attacked him.

                                           

Correct Usage: All of a sudden, five or six men attacked him.
