Hail and Hale
Hail means sleet, frozen
rain, call, summon, greet, salute, acknowledge, etc.
Hale means sound, healthy, strong, fit, etc.
The
sinking ship’s crew hailed a fishing
boat for help.
It
hailed all night.
The
people hailed their new king.
Even at the age of sixty, that man is hale and hearty.
